A school bus aide in Pennsylvania has been arrested following allegations of inappropriate conduct involving a 14-year-old girl with special needs. Ali Khan, 62, faces charges including endangering the welfare of a child and indecent assault, according to the Bensalem Township Police Department. Khan is currently held at the Bucks County Correctional Facility after failing to post bail set at $500,000.
The girl's parents reported the incident to police on July 30, stating that their daughter had been inappropriately touched by Khan earlier that day. Investigators found that the alleged incidents occurred on July 29 and 30 while the girl was on a bus to an extended school year program at Bensalem High School. Surveillance footage reportedly shows Khan directing the girl to a specific seat and touching her inappropriately while securing her seatbelt.
Police noted that the footage also appeared to show Khan engaging in sexual conduct and using his cellphone to take photographs or record the girl. Bensalem Police commended the victim for coming forward and thanked the Bensalem School District for their cooperation in the investigation. The district has removed Khan from service pending the outcome of both criminal and administrative investigations, emphasizing their commitment to student safety. Khan's preliminary hearing is set for August 11, 2026, and the investigation is ongoing.
