Rep. Max Miller (R-OH) stated that a photo of his 2-year-old daughter, which was shared publicly, has been misrepresented. The image was part of files Miller and his team shared on social media amid allegations of domestic and child abuse made by his ex-wife, Emily Moreno. Miller clarified that the photo did not expose any genitalia and described the media coverage as salacious.
During an interview with CNN's Jake Tapper, Miller denied the allegations of abuse and stated he would not resign or withdraw from his reelection campaign. He referenced similar allegations against President Donald Trump during the 2016 election. Miller defended the sharing of the photo, claiming it was already publicly available due to a Child and Family Protective Services investigation, though Tapper noted that CPS denied this claim.
Moreno's attorney, Subodh Chandra, alleged that the Dropbox file contained unredacted information and potentially inappropriate images. Miller's attorney, Aaron Minc, accepted responsibility for the error in redacting the files. Miller reiterated that he did not intend to share the photo and criticized the media's portrayal of the incident.
Miller also rejected claims from his ex-father-in-law, Sen. Bernie Moreno (R-OH), regarding a custody dispute involving a toy belonging to his daughter, calling the senator's comments politically motivated.
