Joan Jett has canceled her remaining concerts scheduled for September 2026 after undergoing surgery for a fractured vertebrae. The announcement was made by her team on her Instagram Story, stating that she will focus on her recovery. The canceled shows were set to take place in Costa Mesa, California, on September 5, and in Louisville, Kentucky, on September 24. The Pacific Amphitheatre in Costa Mesa confirmed that Cheap Trick will perform in her place on September 5, and ticket holders can either attend the replacement show or request a refund. Jett, who gained fame in the 1970s with The Runaways and later with Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, has been active in music for decades and was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2015. She has recently released new music and completed a U.K. tour in July 2026. Jett's team did not provide further details about her injury.
