Taylor Farms recalls jalapeño products due to Salmonella concerns

Taylor Farms has issued a recall for products containing jalapeños due to a potential Salmonella contamination linked to a recent outbreak. The recall was announced on August 9, 2026, following a Cyclospora outbreak associated with iceberg lettuce. The affected jalapeño products include diced jalapeños, dips, salsas, pico de gallo, guacamole, and pre-made salads, burritos, and sandwiches. These items were sold in 26 states at major retailers such as Hannaford, Kroger, Target, Trader Joe's, Walmart, and Whole Foods. The recalled jalapeños were supplied by Coast Citrus Distributors, which has been connected to a Salmonella outbreak that has affected at least 345 individuals across 27 states, with 36 hospitalizations reported. No fatalities have been confirmed.
