Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) is actively supporting Republican candidates across the United States during the August recess. Luna has made several endorsements in various races, including competitive general elections and open-seat primaries. She has campaigned with Reps. Derrick Van Orden (R-WI), Scott Perry (R-PA), and Tim Burchett (R-TN), and has a rally planned with Republican candidate Catalina Lauf in Naples, Florida.
Luna stated, "These races will decide the future of Congress, and we need strong fighters who will stand up to the corruption in Washington, not add to it." Both Van Orden and Perry have secured their GOP nominations, with their races considered toss-ups by the Cook Political Report.
In addition to supporting incumbents, Luna has endorsed Ben Butler in the GOP primary for Florida’s 9th Congressional District, which has been redistricted to favor Republicans. She is also backing Lauf for the GOP nomination in Florida’s 19th Congressional District, which is open due to Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) running for governor.
Luna has also endorsed Ryan Elijah, who is challenging Rep. Cory Mills (R-FL) in the primary amid allegations against Mills. Her involvement in these races reflects her growing influence within the Republican Party, as she has also been engaged in key legislative issues in Congress, including a congressional stock trading ban and proxy voting for parents.
