Texas man arrested and charged with murder of estranged wife

A 37-year-old man in Texas, Jake Bigoni, was arrested and charged with murder after his estranged wife, Eliana Bigoni, was found dead in his apartment in Plano. Police conducted a welfare check on Eliana after a friend reported she had not shown up for a breakfast meeting and could not be contacted. Jake Bigoni was initially charged with felony abuse of a corpse, which was later upgraded to murder. During the investigation, Jake allegedly informed his mother that he and Eliana had a fight and that she was dead. Officers found a blood stain on Jake's shirt and discovered Eliana's body in the trunk of a vehicle in the garage, showing signs of significant injury. The couple's two children were present in the apartment at the time but were unharmed. Jake Bigoni is currently being held in jail without bond and reportedly has a history of violent behavior.
