Pope Leo XIV met American singer-songwriter Bob Dylan at the Vatican on Wednesday during a brief visit, the Vatican said.
Leo gave Dylan a rosary, while Dylan gave the pope a copy of his autobiography, “Chronicles: Volume One,” PBS NewsHour reported. NPR reported that Dylan met the American pope while taking a break from concert dates in Italy.
The BBC reported that Leo had previously cited Dylan’s work in the preface to a book warning against nuclear rearmament.
