A woman and a gunman were killed Wednesday in a shooting at a Citibank campus in the Tampa, Florida, area, authorities said. The gunman was fatally shot by an armed Citibank security guard after opening fire at the Sabal Park business campus in Brandon.
Four other people were injured and taken to a nearby hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening, Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Frank Losat said. Authorities received reports of gunfire at about 12:11 p.m., and deputies arrived about a minute later, according to Losat. The security guard shot the suspect at about 12:13 p.m.
The Washington Examiner reported that about 3,200 people were working at the campus when the shooting occurred. The sheriff’s office later released edited body-camera video and 911 calls from the response.
