A federal judge on Friday ordered an inquiry into whether Trump administration officials and Justice Department lawyers misled the court about plans for East Potomac Golf Links in Washington, D.C.
U.S. District Judge Ana Reyes said the review would examine possible violations of professional ethics rules, according to the Washington Examiner. Al Jazeera reported that Reyes told government lawyers to explain conflicting statements about the golf course. NPR described the inquiry as examining officials’ conduct and whether the court was misled over plans for the municipal course. PBS said the plans involved renovating the D.C. course.
