Iran said it has prepared a “maximum deterrence” plan for any new U.S. attack and warned that it would respond immediately, Al Jazeera reported.

Separately, Iran’s chief negotiator Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf said the Trump administration holds responsibility for preventing a return to all-out war, according to The Hill. He said Tehran had given Washington a firm and rational response to demands concerning nuclear weapons and the opening of the Strait of Hormuz. Qalibaf did not specify the response he meant, The Hill said.
