Republican U.S. Senate nominee Ken Paxton appeared Saturday to cancel the final rally of his “Come and Take It” bus tour, which had been planned at the Alamo on the eve of Election Day. His campaign instead added Monday events in Conroe and Allen, according to The Texas Tribune.

The planned Alamo appearance was intended as the tour’s final stop at the landmark around which it was centered, the Tribune reported. At a separate Saturday speech, Paxton urged supporters to tell friends and family about differences between the parties and between himself and James Talarico, according to The Daily Beast. The outlet reported that a heckler interrupted Paxton. The New York Times reported that Talarico campaigned in Dallas on Thursday.
