A man died after entering a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park near Doncaster on Saturday, police said. South Yorkshire Police said officers and medical teams were called at about 1:35 p.m. following reports that he had entered the enclosure and was attacked by an animal.

Police said the tiger remained inside the enclosure and was not injured, and there was no risk to the wider public. The park was evacuated and officers remained at the site Saturday night, Al Jazeera reported. Yorkshire Ambulance Service sent two ambulances, an air ambulance and a doctor, according to the New York Post. The man has not been identified in the reports. Police said his family had been informed and was receiving support, while the park said it was working with authorities to establish what happened.
