New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani posted a Spanish-language video on social media Friday outlining how residents can respond to encounters with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, according to multiple reports. The video tells viewers they may refuse agents entry to private spaces, remain silent during questioning and seek immigration legal services funded by taxpayers, the Daily Wire reported.
Mamdani opens the roughly 90-second video by saying, “If you encounter ICE, these are your rights,” according to the New York Post. The Washington Examiner said the message followed Mamdani’s criticism of ICE’s detention of a Dominican immigrant in New York City.
