North Korea denied involvement in a reported $6.3 billion theft from Binance, after U.S. government agencies and cyber analysts blamed Pyongyang for the heist, according to the BBC and Deutsche Welle.

Kim Yo Jong rejected FBI allegations that North Korean hackers took more than $6 billion from the exchange, calling the U.S. charge a “provocation,” Deutsche Welle reported. Binance said its review found that attackers used fake job interviews and an internal AI tool after gaining access through a developer who downloaded a tampered installer in June, The Verge reported.

The exchange began reopening withdrawals on additional networks, Deutsche Welle said. The reports described the incident as the largest recorded cryptocurrency theft.
