President Donald Trump said Sunday that he is considering relocating the White House press corps from the briefing room to make room for other needs in the space.

In a Truth Social post, Trump said he was not planning to build a swimming pool in the briefing room. He wrote that he was considering moving the press to another location and using the current room for what he called badly needed space. Fox News reported that Trump had suggested the previous day that reporters could be moved to a less obnoxious location.

The comments followed reports that the press corps could be moved from its longtime White House location. Trump’s post addressed remarks involving comedian Bill Maher and former White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt.
