A Reuters/Ipsos survey completed Monday found that 32 percent of U.S. voters approved of President Donald Trump’s job performance, matching his lowest rating in the poll as midterm elections approach in November.
The six-day survey put Trump’s approval among Hispanic voters at 24 percent, the lowest level of either of his terms, according to Al Jazeera’s account of the poll. The Guardian reported that the poll also showed reduced support among independent and Latino voters who had backed Trump in 2024. Al Jazeera said Hispanic voters were twice as likely to favor the Democratic Party as Trump’s Republican Party in the November elections.
The midterms will determine control of Congress, the Guardian reported. The poll results come about a month before those elections.
