Iran claims to have struck unmanned US vessel in Strait of Hormuz amid ongoing conflict

Iran stated on Sunday that it struck an unmanned US vessel attempting to enter the Strait of Hormuz, marking a continuation of hostilities between the two nations. The US has not confirmed the reported attack, which follows a US military operation that targeted three Iranian oil tankers in response to a missile attack on Navy warships. The conflict began with US and Israeli strikes on Iran on February 28. Since a ceasefire was announced in June, intermittent fighting has continued as both sides aim to exert military and economic pressure amidst stalled negotiations.
