Republicans Increase Funding for Paxton's Campaign as Democrats Debate Support for Talarico

Republicans are investing tens of millions of dollars to support Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton's Senate campaign, who is facing challenges from Democrat James Talarico. Some Democrats are advocating for increased financial support for Talarico, particularly as Republicans outspend them by over $70 million this month, with Election Day approaching. Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen stated, "I think we need to make sure that Talarico’s campaign gets the help it needs." A super PAC associated with Senate Republican leadership has spent over $60 million on advertisements this month, including a significant $54 million expenditure in a single day.
