Actor Selma Blair was issued a federal summons after authorities said she injured two flight attendants on a Delta flight from Los Angeles to New York, according to the Associated Press and other reports. Police took Blair, 54, into custody after the plane reached John F. Kennedy Airport on Sunday night.
The FBI notice accuses Blair of assaults within U.S. special maritime and territorial jurisdiction, an unnamed federal law enforcement official told AP. NPR reported that authorities described Blair as physically abusive. Reports from the New York Post and Breitbart said she allegedly punched one attendant and bit another; the Post also reported that she tried to open an aircraft door.
A representative said Blair had a medical emergency and received medical attention after landing. AP said the case would proceed in federal petty violations court in Brooklyn and that no appearance date had been set. The New York Post, however, reported that a judge adjourned the case until Jan. 19, 2027, after setting bail.
