A Quinnipiac University poll released today found Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro supported by 59% of likely voters in the state’s gubernatorial race, compared with 34% for Republican challenger Stacy Garrity. Libertarian candidate Ken Krawchuk received 2%, while 5% did not select a candidate.

The survey was Quinnipiac’s first of likely Pennsylvania voters in the 2026 election cycle, and the university said it could not be compared with prior polls of registered voters. Shapiro and Garrity, their parties’ nominees, held their first and only scheduled debate Wednesday evening, according to The Hill. They discussed an ongoing measles outbreak, voter ID changes and data centers.
