President Donald Trump’s Wednesday rally in San Antonio for Texas Senate candidate Ken Paxton was interrupted by protesters, with at least 10 people removed, according to Al Jazeera. The event was held at the Freeman Coliseum, the Washington Sun reported.
The Washington Sun said protesters shouted from the floor shortly after Trump began speaking. It reported that one protester was approached by an attendee in a Make America Great Again hat as the protester headed toward an exit. Trump called the protesters paid and told any others to identify themselves and leave. Paxton led attendees in chanting, “Where is Talarico?” while saying Democratic candidate James Talarico had not campaigned in Texas for 11 days, Fox News reported. Talarico’s campaign told Fox News he had been sick with the flu and expected to resume campaigning this weekend. Trump also discussed Iran during the rally, NBC News reported.
